In setting up a community website - we aim to have a number of people looking after various pages and content.

We want to have a single webmaster administrate the site and set up templates but have different 'lay people' able to fill in their content on the pages they are responsible for.

Can this be done without an expensive multi licence arrangment?
Is Cold Fusion required as a solution?
Er, wots best - I'm sure its a common issue.

Also - for fourm discussions such as this - whats required? - is there simple packages available pre built?

As with most community groups - cost is an issue

BUT we'd rather have our own url and web space than a 'oursite@somebodyelsesdomain.com'

Thanks

Yea that is a package but it can be done easily with any server side language. If you are ambitious you can do it by hand but if you dont have a firm grasp on html get a package like php nuke. But make sure your host supports php.
