Troublesome H3 and IMG

Hi everybody! I'm working on my page, and I've got an H3 that won't work. Attached is a screenshot of the problem. I want the H3 to have the background, but I don't want it to be on the other side of the image.
It only does this in IE but in FF it works OK. What do I do?

OK, I fixed it! I just added a margin-left to the H3.
Now I see that my text is right up against the left side of the background-color beside the img, despite the padding. That prob is alredy displayed in the attached image in my last post.
