External entities in Firefox ?

Hi,

Does anyone know why Firefox doesn't understand external entities references in an XML page ? Is it some parameter to change in Firefox itself, or is Firefox simply unwilling to manage them ?

In my DTD, I have things like:

<!ENTITY Tables SYSTEM "./Tables.xml">


and then in the XML I use:


&Tables;


and this works fine in IE6 (the external file is included in the main page).

Sadly, MSIE still has the best XML support out there. Be patient, Firefox will get around to supporting XML one day but in the mean time don't use XML for a web page.

OK, thanks for replying. I heard there is some new beta-version of FF around, I'll try to keep an eye on it.

Well, sometimes Explorer is not quite so diabolical... I love when something works in the end... :D
