Looking for script to allow word definitions

Looking for script that allows a mouse over a word and a small pop-up or dialogue box shows up with the word's definition. Need for elementary school/middle school web pages. Don't want the word underlined or a different color....just a type of hot spot that triggers a small box with the word's definition. I am sure there is a name for the script but I am not aware of it. Thank you in advance.

Yes but what was described to me was the cursor becomes a hand and then with a click of the mouse a box appears. The box shape includes a pointer pointing to the word and in the box is a defintion of the word that i can add such things as shown in a dictionary (i.e. pronunciation, verb, noun, etc.). I tried the title but was told that was not what they wanted but they could not direct me to a site that had what they wanted.

that is called a tooptip, with onmouseover property..
