Here are few observations: The graphic on http://www.hants.gov.uk/southamptonms/information.html is cut off at the bottom on my screen (From about "damaged" on down) The Vice Chairman's photo is stretched vertically. Make sure the the text you use on the navigation bar is the same as the page title, or really close to it. "The Branch" links to a page titled "The Committee." Some additional color would be nice. On your "Accessibility" page, the quote by Tim Berners-Lee: I'd bold the quote, rather than the speaker, since the quote is what is important to your content. A nice functional site - KDLA spufi 10-11-2005, 04:26 PM The social events section is as wide as the right and left columns combined. The welcome and "to find out more" sections are not. I would close the space between "Southampton Branch" and "of the Multiple Sclerosis Society." Having the orange lines for the menu overlap the grey line seems to be over kill. I would probably just make the text turn orange on hover. I would style up the links section with a <dl> tag. (http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_dl.asp) It would look a ton better that way and get rid of lot of class usage if done correctly. Also, I would change what text is displayed for the link. Things like http://www.multiplesclerosis.com/Home/Default.aspx and www.netcomuk.co.uk/~abarnes/index.html aren't the most reader friendly. Have the text just be the name of the site like Multiple Sclerosis and Andy Barnes. Do this for all of the links. Waylander 10-11-2005, 09:48 PM I think you have done quite well here. The rollovers you have got are very good, I like to see innovative css use, it shows that you can get effective design without over use of images/script. Your site has accesability in mind, so the first im recommending is that you repeat your links bar as the first thing in your page footer on all pages, after finishing reading a page it will increase useability to be able to click on to the next page without having to scroll up first, especially on long pages like links, information and branch. I agree with the previously mentioned titles for links, and menu items matching page names. Another font could be used for headings or for the main heading to add a little more variety and style to the page no big thing though, doesnt specifically need it. Aside from this you have done well. Good Luck :) LiLcRaZyFuZzY 10-12-2005, 12:53 PM definately change the hover effect for the menu/links, drop the dotted lines..doesnt look good. your logo's text looks a bit fuzzy, you should change that. nice work Kevey 10-17-2005, 06:19 AM I am a huge fan of simplicity and I like the useability on your site. Everything is well defined and in its own place. The nav bar on the bottom of the page should be centered to match the top nav. The colors are nice and easy to read. Reminds a bit of opening up the yellow pages to find a service...not a bad thing in my opinion...fast and easy. If you are really shooting for accessibility you might consider that some people will be accessing your page from a terminal at a library or Internet cafe' and not be able to use your mailto link for Hazel Daniel. In this instance I would recommend some type of form mail if it is possible, or a text showing her address. Other than that I think it is a very nice site. webdeveloper.com
