cgi or php script for refering a friend

I need a script to refer a friend. Anyone have any suggestions? When people come to my site I want them to be able to enter in their friends email address and then the script should send his friend an email saying "Your friend refered this site to you". can anyone help me? I am not too good with cgi or php so you might have to help me install it!

I tried to find one but there are so many. I am not good with this sort of stuff. Do you think you could find one for me please and send me the link? I dont understand what I am reading.

yes you helped me and I appreciate it but the script you sent me did not work. thats why i am asking around. if you think you can get it to work then i will give you my username and password and maybe you could go in and get it to work for me! I love that script its just i cant get it to work!
