File compression

Hi, is it true that when you use <input type=file.... to upload images, you cannot compress those images??

You need more than that to send a file but at a very basic level it's correct.

The comression part of your question is a lot harder to answer, but it would have be done on the sending PC if you wanted that.

You should also be aware of upload limits... Most hosts limit a file to be 2mb's.

IF it's just images there are gallery software package that will do what you need.
