As part of my "make a portfolio to show universities next year" project, I've created a '3D landscaper.

The address is:
http://www.tiffinmaths.co.uk/backgrounds/3D-landscape/index.htm

There's still a load of bugs and stuff not yet finished, so please bear with me.
To select a square on the grid, click it on the 2D grid on the left. You can then raise that square on the grid by clicking the 'Raise' and 'Lower' buttons. The 'Lower' button isn't finished yet- you can only lower land if it doesn't form a 'ditch'.
If you get bored, click on the 'Demo' and 'Demo 2' buttons for some cool trigometric 'waves'.

Tell me what you think of this useless but interesting program ;)

P.S. You'll need a fast processor to run this program!

Cool, looks neat... Qutie a load on the processor, though... :)

Looks pretty slick. Would be cool if you could make multiple selections on the 2D grid. Don't know how much work that would be though. :(

DrDaMour, this is off-topic but.... I thought 3000 was better...

the point was that 3-d texture map was identicle to the one used in sim city 2000 map editor, right down to the formula.
