Refreshing a table

Hi everybody,
does any one know if it is possible to refresh a table or a div tag instead of the whole page?
If it is possible could u be so kind as to enlighten me?

what I would do is, put the table in a new window in the window you use :o)...put an refresh when you d like to refesh it...that should be okay...!!!:O)
