I'm not sure where to post this question, so I picked "other" -- if this is not the place, I'm sure the mods will move it to the proper place.

I designed a website for my church (www.southpointccc.org) and everyone is extremely happy with it so far. The one thing that the Pastor has asked for, and has me stymied, is something called an e-vite. Several churches use this for their congregation to invite friends. (One such church is http://www.calvarydenver.org/evite.html.) It works this way: a member fills in the form and it is emailed to the friend they want to invite.

I know how to do forms, where they are emailed to one person. But this one is different. I'm assuming that it involves some sort of server side scripting (hope I'm using that term correctly).

I would be eternally grateful if someone can point me in the right direction.

Thank you. ;)

Hi,
They may be referring to http://www.evite.com - the official Evite on the web. I use it all the time. It's great because as the admin for the evite, you can login and see who's checked the evite, email people personally, send a follow up to everyone who said yes, or no, or maybe... There's tons of stuff you can do with it and it's all FREE! Plus you can login to your account at any time and create multiple evites and update your address book.

You can choose different themes/categories for your evite templates such as 'Family', 'Charity/Volunteer' and lots more. There are tons of templates to choose from, many which would be very appropriate for a church event.

Good luck!
