I have Adobe Photoshop 7.0. If I take a picture (.jpg), that has a background of a green screen, how do I substitute something else in for the green screen. What are the step by step proceedures to do so or where could I find a tutorial on this type of thing.
All help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!!

Depends on how simple the photographed object is. If its a persons head with lots of fine hair it you probably need to go into the alpha channels to remove it.
Heres a tutorial:

I'm guessing its something more basic though? cant you just add a new layer behind it?

You could try the 'Extract' tool.
