Convert Bitmap into Vector with Illustrator??

Hi Guys,

Is there a way i can get Illustrator CS to convert a bitmap format Logo into Vector graphics, as i need to do some advertisement for this company and that is the only format they have it in (.jpg and .gif).

Trying to re-size and you guessed it, it pixilates!

Any help is much much appreciated

Hi -
I use Inkscape, but have done Freehand and others...
if the Trace Bitmap feature isn't giving you anything
to work with - why not just open it and redraw the entire
with the tools available?
