Hi all,
Because of CSS problems I kept the redesign of LyricsList table-based:
http://lyricslist.com

I would like to know you opinions of the redesign, and I need to know if there are any compatability issues. I can only test in Firefox and Opera as I am on linux (Fedora Core 4). You can see the old site design in the Forums section, as I have not yet updated the template. Thanks!

it is very weird that your menu is below your list of parter sites, it took me quite some times to figure out where it was (a few seconds at least)

What kind of problems did you encounter with CSS?

I want to integrate the menu with the top header. Any ideas on how to do that would be appreciated.

I could not get the fuzzy 'cloud' effect to work with CSS. I could do it so that the the screen size would be fixed, but could not get it to scale.

It actually looks like it'd be a simple CSS realization. What's with the big left margin on the content? Looks like something's missing down the middle of the page.

That left margin is for the google ads. Do you have them blocked?

The fade out of white on the sides and round corners doesn't look that great. I think it'd be much better with something more solid. The google ads are also right in the middle of everything. It seems convolutied when it's right in with all the content instead of off to the side (unless that's what you're going for, so that people click the ads more often).

I don't know if you wanted heading for your google search, but there's none there. I think the whole thing would look a lot more uniform and less busy if all the menu options were all put together on one background with titles in between.

You could put the menu into the title and format it using css, but I think it looks good off to the site (or it would if it was at the top). Another idea is to make it flat and put it right before or after the header, like this site does: http://www.gucomics.com/. But they repeat the menu on the side again, anyways.

I'm also not too keen with white pages, but that's more of a user's preference. Hey, if you're good at php you could even throw that in as an option.

I know it's hard to redo formating when you use tables. I'd suggest just using tables only when you have to and integrate everything else in with css. If you use tables for everything, it makes the source twice as long and complicated.

Oh, and you might also want to give it a validation whirl at w3.org.

Other than that, looks good.

I got everything but one error to validate:

Error Line 93, column 99: there is no attribute "onFocus" .
...size='15' value='your@email' onFocus='clear_textbox()' />

How can I keep the JavaScript and get it to validate?

I will move the main menu to the top. I have someone developing icons for it, and they will replace the banner ad up there.

Thanks
