well im using Dreamweaver and fireworks to make my graphics, but i have to use some microsoft programs to add certain graphics to my layout. But for some reason i cant get the right size so that my layout doesnt repeat. whats the basic size for a full page layout?thanx!

I'm not clear what you mean. If you mean width, benchmarks like the BBC site use something like 760 px. With my viewing audience, I favour 950px. I wish IE6 supported max-width. But it doesn't and I don't like using a Microsoft proprietary class to overcome that.

The size for a full page layout is 100%
If you want to lock it down to pixels... then surely kiwibrit has some sound advice. However I tend to do the lower locked down size of 740px. Because if it's going to look lame on larger monitors it may as well look really good on smaller ones.
