Hi all, been lurking around here awhile mostly soaking up info from all you pros.

I am currently working a real estate website for a remax client and wish to have the capability to do these things:

1. search MLS database - which they are asking me to do with mlxchangepro software...I think i have this step covered already on my own, although its kinf of ugly in my opinion and requires MSIE, however this is their requirement so not much i can do about it.

2. Search their own "private" listings within their website, which i need help with. I have never integrated a search into a website and wish to use a standards compliant, xhtml/css implementation (for the results) if it is possible.

the search has to be able to retrieve data/pictures/details about the property such as location, price, size, property size, garage, heating, etc....

My questions:

-which search/script would you all recommend I do this with?

-my hosting has mysql, php asp etc pretty much everything so i should be able to run whatever necessary

-is it possible to blend both searches above into one transperant search for the user?

any help would be much appreciated in the meantime i will browse through this forum to find any more answers if they are availiable
