Netscape, IE, Quanta and text faders

Curious as to why some scripts that work with IE do not work with netscape. Example is a teletype scroller found on "The JavaScript Source" page. Is there a code change necessary to make it work with both?

I am also trying my hand at putting a page together using Quanta and find that the scripts do not work when previewed.

Any thoughts or solutions?

Internet Explorer, Netscape 4, Netscape 6, and Netscape 7 all have differences in the way they translate JavaScript code. Some things that work in IE (Internet Explorer) do not work in NN (Netscape Navigator), vise-versa. So if you have a script that works only in IE and you can't figure out how to get it to work in NN, just post here asking for help. :)
