Buying a new laptop

im new here and am looking at buying a brand new laptop . I found one that im pretty interested in.Sony VGN-S460B. heres the link for more details:

I'll be using it for schooling but also for gaming (not hardcore to the max) and maybe some photoshop. What i wanna know is wether or not this system will be good enough for what im doing? thanks in advance for any help !

I do tech support for a living. That system will be just what you need... for about 6 months. Sony systems just don't hold up. I have a friend who works for Sony Entertainment. They use Dell computers.

For laptops, I suggest Toshiba, Dell, HP, even IBM. No Sony. No Gateway. No Fujitsu.

And spend the money for the extended warranty, unless it comes with 3 yrs right out of the box.

I wouldn't touch dell or hp, id use sony before them.

I tend to prefer the smaller vendors, specifically Asus, Msi, and Acer.

SONY omg :) I would use SOny over Dell not HP thouugh...
ASUS and MSI r good though....
