I know that I can use the normal mailto: tag to get emails sent via outlook or whatever the comps mail prog is to myself but most sites have a subscribe/unsubscribe email box which discreetly sends the emails or holds them on site? How is this done?? What code do I need and where do I find it??
I'll be very grateful for any help on the subject and apologies upfront if it's an easy thing but I'm a self taught html website builder!

Cheers

You will need to use server side code. You can take a look for free scripts at http://php.resourceindex.com or http://cgi.resourceindex.com

Thanks for the links but I don't know if I need Perl, PHP, CGI - i think the server runs that? - is there a straight forward way of approaching this problem?
All i'm after is a simple subscribe & unsubscribe hole/tic selector and a box for people to insert their emails, so i can either use it on a page or in a pop-up.

If it's a difficult thing to do, would you recommend going to an off site script/cgi site?

Cheers
