A friend is looking for a good template he can follow. He is building a e-com site. Anybody recommend any good templates and very attractive he can follow, or any sites?

One of the attributes of a good design is being unique. Any "template", however nice it is, will be lost in visitor's memory just because there are too many similar sites.
If your friend whats to be ahead of his competition he needs a design that will stick in users heads, I doubt a "template" thrown together in FP or DW can provide this.
His best bet is to hire a pro to develop layout and graphics for him.
