displaying thumbnail & full image on same page

hi, i have some images at my website done in the normal way i.e. thumbnail is displayed n when some one clicks on it a new page with full image is diplayed.
how can i get the page to display thumnail on the upper part of the webpage & when some one clicks on the thumnail, the pic get displayed on the lower part of the webpage.

The simplest way is to make a page for each of the full size images and link each thumbnail to its page.
