Okay, I was wondering if anyone would review my forum. It'd be greatly appreciated. It's based on ABC's series, Lost.

It's been live for about two weeks, and I've got at least decent traffic for that time period, but poor SEO and I can't seem to get many of the right members to join. I realize I'm going against a lot of competition. thoughts welcome!

It's pretty plain.

Bleed,
One of the first steps to take towards SEO is writing valid code. Jefferey Zeldman, the creator of A List Apart and Web Standards Project claims that valid code written to the specs recommended by the Web Accessibility Initiative and Section 508 of Rehabilation Act are the only things he does in regards to SEO.... His sites are highly optimized. I hope this helps.

^^ I'm fairly certain it's valid code...I didn't write it. It's phpbb.
Pretty plain, eh? I can see how you got that idea. hmm... I guess I'll look for/work on a replacement skin.

I foolishly referred to your markup as code. Search engines don't index sites based on scripting languages (server side scripts or otherwise). They index them based on markup... good clean markup (documents that separate layout and behavior from content).
Your site has 28 errors in the markup

That's what I was talking about. Sorry to be so vague in my response.

Got it. Thanks - I think it's mainly the NoseBleed skin I'm using for it. It's not the latest version either, so I'll try updating it.
