Hi all, i am trying to integrate asp.net and some flash to this website. I need some input. PLEASE dont worry about the html validation. (its no biggy if the site works.)
Ooo by the way i do noticed i have problems using the site in firefox. Cant get the flash under the table stuff so frustating. Any inputs,

Random thoughts -
The design seems a little disjointed. May be due to all the effects you've got going on. Is the Flash really necessary? Remember, this is an informational site, not one for entertainment.
One thing to consider: you might pull off people's names from the photo captions in the top Flash portion for privacy reasons. Just put stuff like "XYZ Award Winner" or something.
OHHH -- the (left-hand) navigation is quite annoying! Is the bouncing triangle necessary?

Disjointed : AGREED but have tried to put lines small stuff couldnt get it together.
Flash yes it is necessary, Its the client wants it.
People names, Its still the clients idea not mine. Something they really insisted on,
yes i noticed the buttons look childesh. Not sure what to do. Is there a site that i can check out some buttons designs so i can give my client some options.

Usability studies would probably be a better approach to redesigning this. Maybe your client doesn't understand what works well for a website, and is just fascinated with what effects can be created. :rolleyes: You might visit Nielsen's Alertbox columns at http://www.useit.com for some more info.
As to the design, maybe focussing on the content first, then arranging stuff around it would be a better way to work. Just make sure that the content is "above the fold," (appears without scrolling) and that all the "bells and whistles" don't detract from it.
Sounds like you've got a challenge on your hands! :)

The overall design is alright....but the main logo is awful...very grainy. I thought flash was supposed to make things smoother lol...
Most people hate flash becuase for slower connections means longer waitng...and thats whole page is one big FLASH lol...I have DSL so it didnt take forever for me tho :D :D
