Seeking review of my website

Hi. I'm seeking reviews for my website at http://www.eqtotalsecrets.com

This is a strategy guide for an online game called Everquest.

I'm looking for website design pros and cons as well as enough pressure to make the purchase.

hey.. well i think its a nice enough looking site but honestly it doesnt strike me as anything game related at all. i notice at the top left it says designed by some template company. perhaps there is some other design that looks more like a game site. this to me looks like some kind of financial site. the grid background looks like graph paper.. it just looks way to technical and dry to be a gaming site. if you've not purchased it yet then i'd seriously consider looking at another design.. just my two cents.

i see. well gameguidesonline.com is much much closer to what i imagine to be a gaming site. redguides.com sufferes from the same problem that your site does. its design doesnt seem to fit its topic. redguides.com for instances looks like a city search or a city guide. i imagine doing a search for seatle WA and finding this site soemwhere. the design says absolutly nothing about anything in the video game industry. its mainly a problem with the header graphic. gameguidesonline however looks like a gamers website. the logo font fits well, and the graphic to the right in the header does too. the colors and the background texture all go together to make a site that looks like it fits. sorry if i'm not being very specific but its hard for me to put into words.. perhaps someone else might comment and make a bit more sense.

Thanks for your suggestions. I run through about 1 design per week until I find one with the best sales record.

So as for a design my website lacks the "theme" of a online gaming strategy guide? As far as ease of readability/understanding how does it work.
