Scrolling

I am making my first website, and it is for my final project in a class. My teacher knows NOTHING, so, I need some help. I am making a site to display my photography, and I would like to have a nice way to scroll through my images without just having an ugly page with a bunch of thumbnails. I have seen several on many other sites, but I have no idea how to do this. Any ideas? The site is being built in Dreamweaver (ugh). Thanks in advance.

You have to make your hosting company supports DHTML most might not

DHTML is client side, and has nothing to do with the host, but rather the browser the users are using, which is also a consideration, but a different one. ;)
