iv onlt ever used html but when i founf this site last week i hear people talking about css xhtml ect ect and iv not got a clue what any of the are
iv still got loads to learn about html
i just wanted to no a little more about all the others and pros and cons to them conpeaired to html

Ignore XHTML. People like to think that they are cool for using it on the web but it has a lot of problems and no advantage. Do learn HTML 4.01 Strict and CSS2.

Spend a lot of time at the W3C (http://www.w3.org/). Some people will tell you to check out the W3Schools. Note that they are not associated with the W3C, the people who govern the web, and they are not always accurate.
