'lo there.
Well, some of you might already have seen this at DesignShack (http://www.designshack.co.uk), CSSVault (http://www.cssvault.com) or CSSImport (http://www.cssimport.com), but I figured I'd post it here anyway. Constructive critisicm is welcome, as always. :)

Cheers,
arch.
I like it. Definitely different and worth noting.
One thing: It would be cool to "turn" the page to see the "comments," rather than scrolling down the page. The bottom half just doesn't fit the stellar design.

for me the "Journal", "Huh?", etc are a bit dark to read on that background. also it would be cool if you made the tab for the page your on be on top instead of staying the same.

Why use Flash instead of simple graphics if the purpose is just to display a little bit of text in a wierd font?

Your monitor probably isn't calibrated quite right. I recommend you try turning up the brightness slightly. I agree about the bookmarks, and I even considered doing so, but I found it would involve far too much coding and wouldn't really look all that good to implement it.

That's a good idea, though I think it's more accessible as it is now.

Because the devil's in the details. ;)

the point/ideal is that the colors are supposed to have contrast with each other, rather then expect 50% of your users to adjust there monitor so they can see it properly. of course thats assuming they notice it at all for example the colorblind.
other then that, its georgeous. a feast for the eyes.

Same here. Insufficient contrast in the colors chosen.

Yeah, I suppose there's not enough contrast in the colours. That's part of the idea, though. It wouldn't look so aged with contrasting greens and reds all around. :) Thanks for the kind words.
Hi -
Yes, the concept and basic design is done really well.
Links might borrow from the beige in the bkgnd. somehow to aid
in contrast - and how about a subtle hover effect, at least? ;-)
The pages themselves could use some brightening-up [or warming], as the
whole is a bit dreary - or was that the intent?
Great idea to make the comments as book pages. Now, they're so similar to the main content that it takes away some of the focus. [Major hz. scrolling if that matters to you...]
While roaming, clicked a link and ended up in a non-styled page - with your portfolio links there; took some backtracking to get back to the land of color!
Keep it up,
El
