javascript:ol in HTML emails

Hi,
Im trying to build an HTML email and some of my links wont work.

Ive seen some use of javascript:ol('URL'); as links, but when i try to use this i get js errors.

Has anyone used this method succesfully?

i'm pretty sure that such code is only used by the email client (yahoo, hotmail, etc.) and not by the email sender.
