well first of all you are going to need flash. Flash 8 is the newest one out and you can download a demo here (http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=flashpro) . Now i believe there are some tutorials that come with it. You can get tutorials for it from:

Tutorialized (http://www.tutorialized.com)
Flash Kit (http://www.flashkit.com/tutorials/)

also like all things it will take time to get something like that scale. But when you do it will look cool.

Please don't missunderstand. I'm not trying to disrespect you or anything. See I learned Flash by reading the book Flash 5 for Dummies. Although Flash 5 is not the newest version of the program, you'ld be surprised as to how many of the same features appear on both versions. Besides, Flash 5 for Dummies teaches you the basics ie... Flash tools, creating cool buttons, animation, tweening, basic action script and much more. (I sound like a commercial). No but really it was a great help for me. I also don't think the Dummies series has a Flash 8 book.

Warning! There is no "quick fix" when learning Flash. After 4 years of working with Flash and creating websites, there is still so much I have to learn. I'm thinking of taking some classes too. Worse case scanario, there are plenty of other authors who write about Flash. Good Luck! :)

I began learning Flash from "SAMS Teach Yourself Macromedia Flash MX 2004 in 24 Hours." Basic, lesson based, and a good reference for beginners. I think there's a Flash 8 version out now.

If you want to use Flash you need some utilities. For example SWF Compressor-Decompressor is very useful. Believe me it's very important. If you don't have it I can tell you the site where I downloaded it. You can also read about it there. So click here: Dcomsoft (http://www.dcomsoft.com)
