Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : Dreamweaver: table aids, what's the number in brackets?
I'm using Dreamweaver 8.
I've got table width view aid turned on.
It displays two numbers.
One which is the actual table width I set.
And another number in brackets.
What is the number in brackets?
Thanks.

i think the top number is the width of that specific width for that colum while the bottom one is the total width.
i dont think i was clear.
yes, you have the top and bottm numbers.
but there will also sometime be a number in brackets.
i think the number in the brackets is the actual width???
thanks.

hi
i get 2 numbers, when the width is set to %, if pixels then only one number.
so I get something like 95%(985) or 985
thanks

The first number is the size requested, the size you meant to set the width to. The number in the () is the actual width based upon the content.

You can make the colums auto-stretch, if you use the table number drop-down.
