Hello, I would appreciate reviews on http://www.localheroclothing.com.
I am most interested in: the functionality, the ease of use, the "feel" that every page fits the site, any information is easy to get/understand.
I would like you to think that if you were interested in buying a single custom T-Shirt, would you stop on this site or keep searching? If you had to place a large order for your company does this company look like they can handle it? Do they look professional?
I would like you to pick apart any little problem that you see. If you'd like to go completly through the shopping cart then you can use the coupon "fakeorder" on checkout. It will leave $1.25 on your bill, but if you say that you're paying with a check or money order then it won't matter.
I appreciate all of your help!

What I notice right off is your background needs to be explicitly set to white.

I agree. You must specify wether you want a white/#ffffff background because some people change the default settings i.e. BG=#000000, TEXT=#FF0000. So make sure you fix that up.
Another thing is that you should have your products on the Front Page so people don't have to go looking for them

I hadn't thought of the white background, I can just change that in my master css file right? And more emphasis on products on the front page is a good idea. I appreciate it!

Have a t-shirt with a random heat transfer on the homepage to start attract users. below that sample you could link with something saying "Other images available" ...

I'm been playing with a few designs, tell me what you think of this homepage. http://www.localheroclothing.com/indexnew.htm. The images are just a but fuzzy, I'll have to clean them up. Does this look more professional or easier to navigate? Any additional ideas or inputs on the site are very welcome. Thanks!

It does Look more Professional, and I do suggest that you fix up those Images. The added Images and Products sections are both a step in the right direction, and do incourage navigation, although to increase ease of navigation I would increase the text size of the Left/Right navigation bars by 1 or 2px. But this new design is definetly better then your previous design.

Yes indeed it is definitely better! The products are more eye-catching than the images on the previous one. Customers more likely tend to read thru the products line now!

I went ahead and made the left side navagation slightly bigger, I'm not too concerned with the right side. I also gave the boxes that I made a little flare. The product images are sharper, and I don't think I compermised any content from the first design. It's now my new home page (www.localheroclothing.com). I do agree the it looks better then before. I still appreciate any more suggestions or comments about anything. Thanks!

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the code.
http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A//www.localheroclothing.com/
125 errors trying to validate against just transitional standards. I will say that you will find a large amount of errors repeated (like your trying to use Doctypes, <html> and <body> tags over and over again), so once you start to weed through them you will be able to get rid of them at a very good rate.

Oh yea, thanks. I have the menu's and navigation as files that are included on each page so I only need to change one. They probably all start with <html>. Thanks a lot. I really appreciate it!

The graphics quality is very low, and rough around the edges.
What people really like, is to make their own shirt (Atleast I do). So, I would suggest making a big graphic and place it on the home page. Saying something about that, with a link to the area to make the shirt.
On the "Graphic Editing and Design" page, the text is a completely different text than the rest of the site.
I made a T-shirt, It came to $86.15 (That is an expensive shirt)

I'll have to fix that graphics page.
On a side note, someone just bought a single Hoodie for Christmas that was Silk Screened for about $45. A T-Shirt would cost about $10 less.

Like the new changes (Blue Outlines around content, Larger Left-Nav Text) This site is looking very pretty, but you do need to smoothe the edges of the images.

Ok, I fixed most (125) of the validation problems except 4. They didn't like my JS code (that works) and my border colors. I'm not too worried. I also fixed the homepage and graphics. The graphic design page was also fixed.
I think the overall home page looks professional, (unless anyone disagrees) but I really want to know about the whole site. The order form proccess, product pages, etc.
Thanks to everyone who has helped me!
Hi -
I'm liking everything but:
- use of tables for layout
- navigation
The bottom list is deceptive, as mimicry of links - why not
place it vt. at left, or something? The header links actually
detracted my attention too much from the content: well
done but large and not in tune w/ rest of graphics. The left
nav hover color is great for subtlety but I'd like to see it as
white, just for snicks.
Good start,
El
