Multi users connected using java script?

I would like to make a simple game like this:

where it starts at a certain time, say once a week, and all who are logged in will be listed in a tournament style bracket.

as users face off the bracket shows who won, their reaction times and advances until there is a winner.

Any variation of this with bacially any style of scripting would be OK. any help is great!

You'll need to use more the Javascript and HTML to achieve this for your own multiplayer online game.

Can you write PHP/ASP/JSP (or other server side code) to handle reading/writing to/from databases... or at least textfiles?

I'd be willing to pay a little bit or take some coaching/lessons or whatever.

I got 0.5391582 my first try. First post of the new year for me, too.

cool, .539 is pretty good. Some of those guys and a specific girl run these .509-.502-.511 type runs. I don't know how they do it....although in some classes you see .553-.592-.573 runs too.

Anyways I guess this is in the wrong forum if javascript won't do it. does anybody have any more ideas on where I go with this or what I do to get it up and running?
it seems with all the interactive games out there this would be easy to setup for somebody proficient with web design.
