Help About A Form

HELLO everybody, i am having some difficulties about creating a form.
I have actually created the form but i want to add some javascript in order to check whether or not some fileds are empty.
I am using gif. images for the messages so when a field is empty a gif image it is suppossed to be displayed under the empty field.
You may not understand properly what i am saying but i really need some help.
If you want some further info let me know.
