Okay, I've taken your suggestions and I've made some changes to this web site. Let me know what you think... www.forhimentertainment.com/about.htm

- I prefer the white background you had previously. The textured one is a little cheesy.

- The navigation menu is not centered on my screen; instead, it's left-aligned. A centered one seems more pleasing to me.

- Hide the visitor counter. Unless you've got numbers in the six-digit range, a counter just seems like too much information provided for disinterested people.

- The navigation bar might stand out more with a color background/white text. It might be the textured background that's causing it to be obscured. Right now, it just isn't obvious.

- The news box on the News page might look better a few pixels to the left, allowing just a little bit of a margin between it and the content area's container edge.

Good Luck -

1. the validator (http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http://www.forhimentertainment.com/about.htm) found 13 errors.
2. Like KDLA said, the nav bar just doesn't stick out.
3. There is space above the For Him graphic, maybe you can increase it a little and put links like: home, about, contact.

I would suggest removing the splash page, I don't like splash pages, and just today I got a news letter that talked about splash, and Flash pages.

Here is what I got

One of my biggest pet peeves is the Flash intro. I skip them every time. All Flash all the time is just not necessary, in fact, it's too much. Even the Flash web site (http://macromedia.com), isn't all Flash.

They know that too much Flash can do more harm than good. Their own Web site is a mix of Flash and html. Flash is used to tell a story about the product, give product tours, and provide navigation. However, navigation in Flash is still a touchy subject. Some usability experts are opposed to it but many designers like it because it looks better and it's more flexible.

Navigation is crucial to your site, so if you do use Flash navigation have an alternative too. Some people don't have a Flash player installed on their computer, and if they can't see how to get around your site, they will click away. And your potential customer is gone in a flash.

You have two types of text and they look like verdana/arial and Times New Roman, I would suggest only using one of those.

I would also suggest down sizing the images on the Artists page One is ~ 62KB and the other is ~ 75KB, and they arn't very big images either If you go to http://lyrics.com, they have an image for almost every album that they have lyrics for, and each one is ~10-11KB in size. That is the same with all your other pages, down size the image file size.

Okay stats may be great for you, but what do I care about how many visitors have hit the page, make them hidden, look for a hidden solution or hide them with css eg, <img src="urpicssourcehere" style="display:none;">

Overall I like it but I don't get why the banner is Flash.

My guess is that you can't right click and do a copy save

Site looks good. however, I would suggest you should improve top navigation bar. Though it is quite simple and easy to access. Title you put for every page seems like chapter no and name of pages of any book. I think bakground should be simple looking. You should always optimize flash site to avoid harm from search engines. All the best! :)

Nice site, easy to navigate. The only thing that I noticed is that the navigation menu is not centered. Another thing is the home page. That's the very important page, you should add content about your site instead of the splash page.

- The navigation menu is not centered on my screen; instead, it's left-aligned. A centered one seems more pleasing to me. It started off being right aligned but as the menu grew I didn't think about it looking as if it was suppose to be centered. Thats a good point.

- Hide the visitor counter. Unless you've got numbers in the six-digit range, a counter just seems like too much information provided for disinterested people. I don't like counters on web sites but it was requested. So for now... it stays. Thanks.

Thanks!

Well, the banner was originally going to have animation in it... it's still an option.

Thanks.
