http://testarea.sensationdesigns.com/triexa/

I went for a completely different look (both layout and color scheme) from
http://www.sensationdesigns.com

My goal was/is to have the dark/grays in the background and have the main content full of lots of colors... as long as it looks alright together.

Any suggestions for layout/color? I know its a bit "empty" at the moment...

Hi
I like the new one! good work

you might want to validate it http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A//testarea.sensationdesigns.com/triexa/

and why not use a html 4.01 strict doctype:
http://www.w3.org/QA/2002/04/valid-dtd-list.html

For the menu, both top and bottom use an unordered list and float it to the left (to have it horizontal) and you can then add graphics or borders(right or left) to have the same effect as those bars

I wouldn't have the menu links underlined when hovering the mouse on them, instead i would change the color of the links, and/or create some discreet graphics to make it look even better, but thats a personal taste.

good luck

I think it's an improvement. I think the new one could use a bit more content though. Not as much as the old one has, since that looked a bit too busy but the new one is the other extreme, it looks a bit empty. But definitely an improvement overall, visually.

ALSO

the header is going to change for sure...

Will be turned into flash to make it nicer, and all... haha. Don't know if I will display the header on every page, if each main page will get a separate header, or what...

any input on that?

Oops got lazy and forgot to follow the doctype.. OOPS!

Why do you suggest/recommend strict instead?

Also I don't follow what you mean by changing the links in the menu?

I really like it, and I wish I could make somthing this nice, but I have no artistic design what so ever, all I got is gradients and that is it. Nice look, and feel

A suggestion, I think you should move the content down a little (the white part), so it's top is aligned with the middle gray colored part of the background. Or move the middle gray part up.

I ran a speed test on your site, and It gave me one warning:

Warning! The total size of your images is 36903 bytes, which is over 30K. Consider optimizing your images for size, combining them, and replacing graphic rollovers with CSS.

and one caution

Caution. The total size of this page is 38705 bytes, which will load in over 8 seconds on a 56Kbps modem - or 7.71 seconds. Consider reducing total page size to less than 30K to achieve sub eight second response times on 56K connections. Be sure to provide feedback for pages over 30K by layering your design to display useful content within the first two seconds.

That is all I have for suggestions

the little guy --- I ignored those kind of tests as of like a year ago. Maybe i should, maybe i shouldn't...

How can you compress pages so much? I used to use very few images, but now I am going to... and that is size.

Hmm, I did this on purpose...

It looks much too uniform when it lines up evenly... i think...

The header image lines up with that gray bar... slightly more subtly :)

Well, this image right here: http://testarea.sensationdesigns.com/triexa/graphics/header.jpg is about 30kb I got it down to about 8 kb in size you can look at it here: http://www.d-top.org/imghost/sublogo.jpg it will speed up you page loading time if you use it.

Hi!!! Your server is down right at the moment, but I had a look at it yesterday, and I like the new one, it's really good !!!! I also like the color scheme. Orange, dark grey, grey and black is my favorite color scheme and I think it looks really professional.
As JPnyc pointed out, your old site was just too much (a bit crowded. Really), but this one lacks content. It seems sad, on its own, left alone... poor website... lol
I'll make a more consistent review when your sever is back online !!!! But, really good work, and especially with the logo !!

Hi -
I like your site. There seem, though, to be too many colors in use. The blue headings seem a little too much; maybe change these to black? I like the other colors too much to sacrifice one of them.

I like the drop-down menu -- some of the links don't work, though. Might check into that.

Good Luck -

Nice site, I agree there's a big difference from the previous site. I like the new one, it doesn't look too busy and crowded.

Now accessible...

Please provide input on the newly selected header?

I don't know if you want to edit this or not, but in the testimonials on the left hand side says your old site name, I don't know if you want to leave it like that or not.

I like your new banner with the darts and arrows, it looks nice.

Did you take a picture of that? I have always wondered how the people here get there images.

http://www.triexa.com/

It has been pretty majorly updated... at least, a lot of content added.

Clear your cache for any images/etc..

So any input on the further developments?

love it,

now you should make it validate

I starting off strictly having pages validate, but a major problem is with any PHP dynamic URLS...

I would definitely prefer not having to use & in all my URLS for the "&". It just makes the URL more jumbled in the code and more stress on the development...?
