http / https problem

Hi guys...I am not sure if this is the correct forum for my query otherwise, Dave, pls advice where to post this.

I have a hyperlink, on clicking it opens a new window with other url. My parent window is in https (i.e. im logged in) so when i click the hyperlink, it first goes to http (AS I WANT) but then quickly redirects to https. But i want it to stay with http and not redirect to https which results in mixing of style sheets,design etc.

Can anyone help ?

A non-secured site can only be opened in http. Maybe a secured site can only be opened in https. HTTPS should not be changing the design of your site or how it looks, unless you have security settings or something that tell it to.
