I want to get some opinions on this layout. Obviously it isn't a functional website, but before I put actual content up I want to see what people think of the colours, layout, etc...

Does it render strangely? Does it just look weird? Lemme know.
For the record, I'm going for something straightforward and simple, kinda plain. I want the content and ideas behind the site to keep people browsing.
you dont need all the page info top left. Thats of no interest to anyone. Think what you'd like to see on a site.

Extremely dull.

That page info thing is a bit moot, though. If you keep it, it should be at the very bottom of the page.
There is nothing more un-interesting than 'page stats', as also there is nothing more scary than having a site needlessly tell the visitor what browser & version they are using, what their ISP# is, how they connect, their local time and where they're from... (I have seen sites that use javascript to do that... weird me out the door!)
But the site itself? -Looks rather business-like, it isn't too big (no page scrolling involved for the insertion page, good design principle), is organized, centered (more-or-less), aligned, and it doesn't 'explode in my face' with flashy ads, colors, whirly-gigs and banners... (that means yes, that I like it). :)

For another record, the page stats is currently serving a multiple purpose. One, it helps me test my scripts as they will be changing and editing this, and two it will help people see when the page has been updated at a glance, without having to look around. It will be of more use when the page has actual content.
I agree with not liking that Javascript tell me everything about my life story script.
Anyone's page rendering strangely at all?
Thanks for all the input guys!
