Hi. When you get paid for partial completion of a web project for some client, is it customary to let the client (customer) know that the payment has been received, such as by sending them an email that sais "Thank you Rudolph, I've received your payment. I look forward to additional work for you" or something similar?

Or would you rather not say anything at all and just quitely accept the payment?

id say its always good saying it was a pleasure working with them, that you received the payment and you look forward to working with them again in the future. only not that short with your own touch and such.

I'd say "yes". I always say "thank you" when someone pays me for my work. ('nuff said)

Or, you could also say: Thank you not for your payment, I don't look forward to future projects with you.

Not really, more like, why not? Silliness.

Most want a receipt of payment anyway. It's a business expense, they need to have a receipt of it.

Hey,

Personally i'd email them giving gratitude with a link to my site incase they wanted any more work doing.

Thanks
