Firefox incompatibility

Hey guys!
Why is it that i can view my website correctly on IE and the borders and stuff goes heywire on Firefox?
Are there any commands that i need to change?

Try validating (http://validator.w3.org/) your site, or at least fix as many errors as possible

And you will never get them to look the same if you don't use a proper doctype.
