change banner html to gif?

I am an affiliate and want to put their banner on another site as well as my own. I have the banner html but the new site want it ending as a .gif. How do I do this?

Take a screen capture of the html version and then crop the screen capture to a banner size, well that's one option.

Open the file in a graphics program like paint shop pro, or photoshop, and save it as a gif.
