HierMenus and Netscape Problem

I recently modified our site to include child menus. Both parent and child menus seem to work fine in IE, but the child menus have a problem of "misalignment" (putting it mildly) in Netscape. The child menu wants to go to the top of the page (see the attachment).

Is this a known bug with Netscape? I am using HM version 4.0.

Hi John,

I didn't test your menu configuration specifically, but I noticed that you are using HMv4.0.12. Peter documented and corrected a specific problem with Netscape/Mozilla child menu positioning beginning with HMv4.0.14, see his release notes (http://www.webreference.com/dhtml/column57/2.html) for further information on the topic. I'd guess that's what's tripping you up. You may also find that you need to set the position_under parameter of your menus to 0/false; typically position_under is only helpful if you are using permanently-visible menus.
