Hello!

I have a new design for a site called SpareInkMedia.com, but theres one problemo....

I have an iframe (ucky, I know...) in a table (ucky as well, I know...) and for the love of god I have NO idea how to make it so that in IE the iframe doesnt have a scrollbar on the bottom.....

here's where the page is located:

http://www.spareinkmedia.com/LAST

and here's the coding for both the page and the frame's content:

main page:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
<title>Untitled Document</title>
</head>

<body>
<center>
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
<td colspan="2">
<img src="images/header.png" border="0px" />
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td height="300px" style="border:0px;">
<script src="picsscroll.js" language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
</script>
</td>
<td>
<div style="overflow:auto;"><IFRAME SRC="home.htm" height=302px width=449px frameborder="0" NAME="content" style="border:0px solid white"></iframe>
</div>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="2">
<img src="images/footer.png" border="0px" />
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</center>
</body>
</html>

and the page that is in the frame:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
<title>Untitled Document</title>
<style type="text/css">
BODY {
background-image:url(images/midright.png);
background-repeat:no-repeat;
background-attachment:fixed;
}
</style>

Here, I haven't tried it but I think this should do it

<IFRAME
SRC="iframescrollno.html"
WIDTH=250 HEIGHT=150
SCROLLING=NO
>
<A HREF="iframescrollno.html">A
link to the page</A>
</IFRAME>

or if you have FP, do this:
Right-click in the frame.
Click Frame Properties on the shortcut menu.
Under Options, select the Show scrollbars setting.

thanks, but that got rid of BOTH the scrollbars..... I don't know why but its either both the side AND bottom scrollers or neither.... plus this is really not too keen of an idea because my content goes below the height of the frame, therefore much of the content for each page gets lost, and unless people know there's more to it, they wont be able to figure out how to scroll down.......

heres another image in an attachment of what it looks like now....

thanx still.... :o :confused: ;) :D

i re-uploaded the files to my server, so to see the live problem, look @
this page (http://www.spareinkmedia.com/LAST)

Hmm. This shows up as a Javascript problem on the page load.

Error: missing ; before statement
Source File: http://24.38.0.14:1450/LAST/style.css
Line: 4, Column: 5
Source Code:
BODY {

And a few HTML warnings.

line 6 column 1 - Warning: <link> inserting "type" attribute
line 17 column 2 - Warning: <td> attribute "height" has invalid value "300px"
line 22 column 47 - Warning: <iframe> attribute "height" has invalid value "302px"
line 22 column 47 - Warning: <iframe> attribute "width" has invalid value "449px"
line 27 column 5 - Warning: <td> proprietary attribute "background"
line 27 column 5 - Warning: <td> attribute "height" has invalid value "125px"

0 errors / 6 warnings

The value problems are because you've included units.

You could make that iframe a div and use Inner Browsing to load it. That would give you more stylistic control over it.
