Hi there,

Could you please review my new site http://www.billybargain.co.uk please?

It is a DVD Price comparison site.

Many thanks
Brett

I'm not sure why, but the images took quite a while to load - 10 sec. or so, which is pretty slow considering I'm on a T1 line.

One thing you need to fix, for sure, is your metatags and metadata. Right now, all you've got is <title>Compare DVD Prices</title> You really should have the name of your company as the title, and include metatags for description and keywords.

Also missing from the <head> section is a DOCTYPE -- you'll need that to make sure your page displays correctly in various browsers. (http://www.alistapart.com/stories/doctype/)

The layout is OK. Some color might be nice. The large graphic next to the title seems to dominate the banner area. Could it be moved to the bottom?

I suggest changing the overall link color on your site. It looks like it is the default link color. For your tabs at the top, it would be nice to remove the underlines and just change the color when the user hovers over the link. That way it looks more like an image and would likely give it a nice touch.

For the A-Z link bar, I would use CSS to make the links more box like. When I say box like, make it look like the Page 1, Page 2 links that this forum has.

For the left menu, I would make your column a little wider and make the link text larger and perhaps take away the underlines. Keep the link a blue color, but give it a more pronounced blue that will contrast nicely with a white background.

For the movies, I would make the cover images larger. It's hard to tell what's actually on the cover from the thumbnail view. Once again, I think you should do something about your link appearance. When you have "Next page of results", you should have a Page 1 of x, so that the user will know where they are at all times.

Conclusion: Do something about your links. They are plain looking and have a huge potential to change the look and feel of your site. Work on your navigability issues regarding searches and movie browsing.

I hope those suggestions helped.
