What is the feeling about the impact of the current economy on e-commerce?

you doing reaserch for a project or something lol? I saw another post about m commers a little while ago thats why I ask. I think that the programing industry job wise has been hit hard because it has been a bit tougher to find jobs in the programming or the computer industry as a whole depending on what your specialty is. e-commerce I think has stayed about the same I would think.

Seems to me that demand has dried up some after 9/11/2001.
