I recently made the website http://www.picwhat.com it is my first attempt at a data driven site and would appreciate any and all suggestions before I begin to try and promote it. If you want to log in and try it, but do not want to register you can use testing as the password and username

I'm not quite sure your logo matches with what the site is trying to accomplish. My first impression of it was that it was a pumpkin. I'm still not sure what it is.
Your layout is easy enough that you can easily implement a two column layout using stylesheets. There's no need for tables at all, but what you have works.
I would split your main homepage into several pages, or at least make it simpler to read. You could create a "How To" page or something similar with screenshots of what your service can accomplish. Reading it is one thing, seeing it is another. Your main page also makes me scroll too much. The main page should have everything front and center that way the user can decide immediately if your site is worth pursuing or not.
Your Terms Service link on the left side should read "Terms of Service"?
The styles are a nice touch for users of your site, but some of the styles are distracting from the drop down boxes of links and such.
I think with bit more work and some usability enhancements your site will look good.
Take care

I appreciate the quick response and will make changes according to what you have said. It might be a while on the logo though just so you know it I am not all that creative in creating a logo and at this time not really able to have it professionally designed so I just took a public domain picture of Mars and used my poor photoshop abilities to it. I will consider changing it if I can think of something to enhance it. Thanks again for your suggestions.
