Thanks. spufi 02-14-2006, 07:20 PM I like minimalistic designs and yet, I think there is something missing here to really make the design take off. You give a list of top 10 webhost and yet have zero ways of showing why you ranked them as such. Since it's easy to see on your site Yahoo isn't the best in terms of bang for buck, why are they ranked number one? I know a number of host I would use before Yahoo. WebHostingGeeks 02-14-2006, 07:43 PM well, the site is about deals right. so yahoo ranked first because they offer $100 yahoo credit + $50 google + free domain. this is the best offer i found so far. which hosts would you recommend to move up? whats missing? i guess background and a header need some work eh? do you know some really good design companies? there are millions of them on the web but most suck... :( Sux0rZh@jc0rz 02-14-2006, 10:33 PM Reviews on the site should be done based on more than just the price and bonus's, but the recurring value... Powweb definately gives you the best over-all renewing value(money saved) not to mention, I've used them, and they have customer service like you would not believe. its just about impossible to find ANYTHING to dislike about powweb, because you can litterally view and change any and every setting and detail about your account online with their control panel, not to mention view your account balance, future charges, and etc, know exactly everything about whats going to be happening with your money, and etc. also, they have like 300,000 other users that all post on forums for customers, so any question you might have gets answered FAST. also tons of links from the other customers on the forums to places to get good free additions to your site (like themes and etc) not to mention, if you call them(customer service 24/7), you go straight to speaking with a person with almost never any waiting. and no, i dont work for them, so i'm not advertising anything that would benefit myself, i just found them to be the best host i've ever used. KDLA 02-15-2006, 01:18 PM Including awards that these might have won would be beneficial, to those like me who really look for "proof" of ratings. KDLA WebHostingGeeks 02-20-2006, 10:33 PM I changed the site a little (basically erased lots of afiiliate stuff and sponsored links), does it look better now? i mean cleaner? oh, i also added a notice that we ranked hosts by value/price. what would you recommend me to do with this text line? make it bold, different collor or it looks ok. 2 KDLA, do you mean I should include awards in reviews? KDLA 02-21-2006, 07:46 AM No, as a category. WebHostingGeeks 02-25-2006, 03:30 PM Thank you all for your reviews. I followed your advises and come up with the new layout: http://www.webhostinggeeks.com/new/ whats your opinion? by the way, do I need that adsense ad on my page? or i should take it off. as you said visitors do not really like advertisements WebHostingGeeks 03-27-2006, 03:07 PM Good news. I have started a logo design contest at http://tinyurl.com/jtbjm New logo coming up in April 25 2006 Please tell me what you think. We have also redesigned and added some grafics to the "reviews pages". http://webhostinggeeks.com Your opinion is very appriciated. The Little Guy 03-27-2006, 05:38 PM You should allow the users to be able to rate each site, and that would show who really is number 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. Nice layout, simple, and easy. Your adds blend in. Nice WebHostingGeeks 03-27-2006, 05:50 PM Does anyone know a good and easy to install php script that will generate user reviews pages as well as their ratings for the hosting providers? TO The Little Guy: Thants exactly what I was trying to do. I just don't have much experience in PHP to develop the script myself. Do you know any good scripts? The Little Guy 03-27-2006, 06:49 PM Sorry, I don't know of any, but the comments script would be fairly easy to make, but im not 100% sure how the rating system would be. webdeveloper.com
