Tracking Sales Question

Hi,
I am currently the owner of the website www.artsEfest.com. Our users can sign up for two types of accounts:
1. Build a website through us using templates
2. Link to your existing website that is hosted outside of us

For the users that build a site through us, we are able to track the sales that go through their websites.

For the users that have a website outside of our site and we just link to them in our directory, we are unable to track the sales that are generated by leads from our main site.

Does anyone know if there is a way for us to track these sales? We want to be able to know how many sales are placed on the websites we link to, based on someone clicking on their site in our link directory.

Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

Not with just a link to the other site.

are there any suggestions on what I need to do in order to be able to do this? You state I can't do it with just a link. Is there something else I need to do? Anything I can do? Will using frames do anything?

Any help and suggestion offers would be greatly appreciated.

You have to have the cooperation of the other sites. I.e. they have to keep track of and inform you of the information you want.
