I've been trying hard to promote 3d graphics services and although I do manage to make a living ( just ) - I'm trying out something new.

I really need some feedabck on what I'm trying, before I spend the tiny marketing budget.

I have made some interactive 3d applets and users can download them and customise the graphics.

can anyone think of a model that would be popular , or something that needs to be customisable that isn't right as it stands....

rather than explain - have a look and download samples for free -

Any feedback will be very much appreciated.

The first thing i really missed when i saw the camera, was a zoom option!
The 3D look's great, but you can't really see the details, also when i saw that it was actually an animated gif running in the display, i thourght that, that would be a cool way to add adveticing to the website.
Another thing, is the computer, camera and box, the only models you have so far? cuz i'd really like to see something like a racecar or a spaceshuttle done this way :)

Something else that could be cool, was (and i have no idea what so ever if this is possible) if you could make custom 3D text, like it read the text from af txt file, and displayed it as 3D and on top of it, maby put custom images into the applet also... would be great for company names and stuff. (just a thourgth)

Well I wasnt sure at first what you were selling, the 3d Models or the applet . Coming from a graphic design background I wouldn't go with this sort of thing only because I think custom made creative solutions communicate better. Thats not to say theres not a market for this sort of thing.

Did you model these objects yourself? They're nicely rendered.

Thanks for the comments so far
All the models are my own, there's a bigger selection on the home page www.aarkid.com

thanks - you can zoom with the right mouse button - I didn't want to clutter up the image with controls - but I'll mention it on the site.
Text is a good idea and very possible, it's just that there is already several applications for makng 3d text and I didn't want to compete head on with established companies.

I'll try to re-do the wording to make it clearer what it is that is being offered.
but the main business is making custom models / applets, I was wanting to find an alternative way to generate some business by making these 'readymade' ones that users can add their own animated gif as a texture. - you just need to put your own image files into the presentation folder and they appear on the screen of the model.

I'll be adding 3d model - books ( soft and hard cover ), c.d and case,

man you got some really nice features there...
I once saw something of this kind but actually nothing as good as this...
this reminds me of a time I was looking for a kind of "gun database" like you
often have in games where you can rotate and admire guns (myeah... we were all kids ;) )

walking around in a house would be a next step :D

Oo that would be a kool way to expand this concept :D
Slow 3D walkthrough of a building of some sort, and all posters, computerscreens and whate ever, having animations running like on the other things, and with this 3D.... *mmmmmm*
Maby a bit hard to sell, but a good way to show whats actually possible.
