I am looking for a wysiwyg textarea html editor. What I am looking for is something very simple.

I it to have:
add link
bold
underline
italic
add picture
bulleted lists (not critical)

I have found many, but not a lot of them are as simple as I would like. The one used on these forums when you post a new message is a good example

Hi sae,

There's numerous projects out there that you can use. FCKeditor www.fckeditor.net (http://www.fckeditor.net/) is a popular open source option to get you started - does everything you want and a whole lot more! Very configuarble so you can disable options if you don't want you users to have them, etc.

Hope that helps,
Gav :)

Thanks. I ended up using tinymce, which is also configurable

This website really helped me out

Hi!

You may find my recent accessibility evaluation of WYSIWYG editors (http://www.standards-schmandards.com/index.php?2006/03/03/36-wysiwyg-editor-test) helpful.

Kind regards,

Peter

Dreamweaver and Frontpage are not considered textarea HTML editors. They are complete applications and do not run inside a browser.
