I have nero :X good alternatives?

I think the title is pretty much self explanatory. I have nero to burn my CDs and it bites. Whenever I go to shut down my computer and nero is still running (in the background) the computer refuses to shut down until I cancel every instance of nero in the ctrl alt delete menu. It also says (every time I go to burn a cd) that there is a rom issue, but the CD burns and can be read just fine every time.

I guess what I want to know is this:
-Is the rom issue a "real" problem?
-Is there a way I can fix nero so it doesn't do that shut down thing?

And if I can't fix those things, here is my big question. Is there is any burner software out there that offers the same features and functionality of nero?

I've never used nero before, but I have Sonic, and I've never had a problem with it.

I had a problem with Sonic closing CD-RW
Nero Isn't that bad the shutdown thing has been fixed with a patch... I try 2 gt the link :)

I've seen a new version of nero advertized... I'm thinking about getting it, as the version I have now is buggy. Maybe they fixed that- Dare I get it? Nero is definitly the most powerful program I've used for burning and I'm kinda hesitant about using something new.

If u have the money go ahead just chk the reviews first.
I have found Nerio very good for CD/DVD burning and have
found no better at this time

I dunno dude, I've worked with quite a few programs and Nero is by far the best for me. Have you tried looking into the patches?

I agree there r alot of patches out theire on their site
