delete folders in ssh file transfer client

hi, im new to the ssh file transfer client, is there a way to delete folders with files in them, its getting on my nerves deleting loads of stuff all the time when a simple highlight and delete wud do

Try using Filezilla (http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/) in SSH mode, it'll run through and delete all files in a folder before trying to delete the folder. An alternative to Filezilla is WinSCP (http://winscp.net/eng/index.php).

how do i get filezilla into ssh mode? the help file doesnt seem helpful

Take a look at the attached image. In the site manager where you add your FTP logins, you can choose "SFTP using SSH2".

To get the site manager window up, just click the button at the top left of where I placed it.
